Schulman Bhattacharya Secures Confidential Settlement in Battle over Intellectual Property Royalties

Sep 06

Schulman Bhattacharya obtained a confidential settlement for our client after six days of trial before Judge Motz in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. The case concerned a co-development agreement covering the creation and sale of valuable intellectual property rights for the training program “Negotiating with the Savvy Buyer.” We brought the suit for breach of contract, an accounting, and fraud, seeking unpaid royalties and punitive damages for sales of the program over a more than ten year period. The case was concluded just after we closed our case in chief. The Schulman Bhattacharya team was led by partners Jeremy Schulman and Jeffrey Gavenman.
